Great photograph. I like the clarity of the building set against the darkness of the sky. And the shiny green texture. Very nice!

I think the outside world knows but a small percentage of the tragedy yet ... I don't know about Holland, but Australia only seems to take note of tragedy in Asia when an Australian (a "European" Australian) in involved.

The composition of this image is wonderfully appropriate.

Lovely photo, and appropriate. Yes, it's always hard to find out about massive tragedies like this, especially so when we oursleves have been celebrating with loved ones...

Uhm, weak, I know, but I rather agree with comments already given. Love the way you angled this one, perfect.
I rarely watch TV, but couldn't help looking up from my portable computer to some horrifying footage of south-east asia. Poor people, I hope the world does the right thing and helps them out.

Sigh. Sad day indeed. I have nothing to add that already hasn't been said - I'm stunned, and sad, and glued to the television. Small though it may be, this photo is a lovely little memorial, it captures great emotion. As soon as I saw it, before reading the caption, I knew what the meaning would be.

Had to quickly add... I'm watching the news now. They're talking to a a man, bandaged up in the hospital, talking about his young boy and wife who were ripped from his grasp and are now missing. So hard not to watch and not cry.

This entry actually prompted me to watch the news on Sunday as the li'l Miss had monopoly on the tv and I was recuperating from a cold. Very sad news indeed! Lovely and appropriate image as usual.

A powerful image, and thoughtful concern... Lynn. An unexpected event of which we are only beginning to comprehend in the passing hours and days. It reminds us of how fragile life is, giving us more reason to appreciate and live in our now.
