Comments: where there is light
Lynn, I really like your cropping on this one. Each incomplete element makes for an interesting geometric abstracted whole image. Great tonal range, as well. Very nice. Posted by matt at December 19, 2004 07:19 AM:) I love that - "jammed my foot between one particular door and the slam of inevitability." It sounds so courageous, and determined, and inspired!! I owe you an email yet - we're still quite determined to be in Amsterdam at the end of January. I can't wait to see you again!! Posted by paz at December 19, 2004 03:15 PMI second the comment about the composition. Every element contributes to the shot. Nice. Posted by Kevin at December 19, 2004 10:58 PMThe lights, bright as they are, are not going anywhere. Posted by Julie at December 20, 2004 12:39 PMI've even found those lights to be HEADLIGHTS (recent car accident)...and STILL would do it all again... Posted by lily at December 21, 2004 03:37 AMI agree with you fully about jamming your foot in the door, we make our own opportunities. People who constantly blame it on luck are missing the point (we hear that a lot, how lucky we are, even though I've searched out our newest adventure and they've not even looked). Posted by trish at December 21, 2004 05:52 PMGreat photo. As usual. Been putting my foot in slamming doors recently too. We'll see if anything comes of it. Happy holidays! Can't wait to see the photos you create next year. Posted by gimmy at December 23, 2004 05:00 PMI LOVE this shot... Beautiful capture!
